The Bible, Simplified

Choose to be Great

You are in charge of your life.

Ultimately, it’s you who determines what you do and who you become — and it’s because of your thoughts, speech, and actions that your decisions become your reality.

In God, you have all the tools necessary to design a life of meaning and worth, but it’s how you use those tools that inform your quality of life.

Today’s note was inspired by Matthew 25:21 (KJV), which reads, His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

God bless,
Ray

Practice Makes…Perfect?

I, like most people, learn through repetition.

Practice increases my chances of success, reinforces what I’ve learned, and sharpens the skills I’ve developed over time. It’s through repetition and prayer that I create good habits and godly character.

I know that achieving anything worthwhile requires God’s support — and thankfully, He doesn’t need practice — He’s already perfect.

Today’s reflection was inspired by Psalm 20:4 (VOICE), which reads: May He grant the dreams of your heart and see your plans through to the end.

God bless,

Ray

The Dream Maker

Just as the stars are too infinite to count, so are the blessings I have in my life. At any given time, I can take stock of my life and see that I have all I need, and then-some.

My loving relationships, physical health, emotional and mental well-being remind me that I have all I need and more. My life is like a dream come true — courtesy of my lord and savior, Jesus Christ.

Life may be hard, but it doesn’t have to be a nightmare.

Today’s reflection was inspired by Psalm 20:4 (VOICE), which reads: May He grant the dreams of your heart and see your plans through to the end.

God bless,

Ray
