About Ray

He wants to simplify the Bible.

Whole New World

Try not to follow your old self and your old behaviors — instead, put on your new self, created to be like Christ in true righteousness and holiness.

(2 Corinthians 5:17) When anyone is in Christ, it is a whole new world. The old things are gone; suddenly, everything is new!

Ask God to grant you a submissive spirit — one which will obey your spiritual leaders and submit to their authority.

(Hebrews 13:17) Obey your leaders. Be willing to do what they say. They are responsible for your spiritual welfare, so they are always watching to protect you. Obey them so that their work will give them joy, not grief. It won’t help you to make it hard for them.

Choose Your Friends Wisely

Simply put — you are who you spend time with. If you hang with fools you’ll be (for lack of a better word) a fool, and if you spend time with wise men and women, you will be wise.

(Proverbs 13:20) Be friends with those who are wise, and you will become wise. Choose fools to be your friends, and you will have trouble.

His Peace

Don’t allow yourself to become overwhelmed by the daily demands of this world. Instead, allow God’s peace to surround you and calm the storm — every storm, to a whisper.

(Philippians 4:7) And because you belong to Christ Jesus, God’s peace will stand guard over all your thoughts and feelings. His peace can do this far better than our human minds.

God is the Father of compassion and comfort so let him meet you in your times of need, and empower you to help ease the pain of others.

(2 Corinthians 1:3-4) Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the Father who is full of mercy, the God of all comfort.

He comforts us every time we have trouble so that when others have trouble, we can comfort them with the same comfort God gives us.

Please the Lord

Be a person of conviction and good judgment so you can resist anything that displeases God. It’s easier said than done but submit to God’s authority and making yourself accountable to a spiritual family.

(Deuteronomy 6:18) You must do what is right and good—what pleases the Lord. Then everything will go well for you, and you can go in and take the good land that the Lord promised your ancestors.

Be faithful with all that God has blessed you with, and know that if you truly appreciate the little — God will bless you with a lot.

(Matthew 25:21) The master answered, ‘You did right. You are a good servant who can be trusted. You did well with that small amount of money. So I will let you care for much greater things. Come and share my happiness with me.

Gods Commands

Let God guide you in truth and teach you what is right. Continuously follow Him, for God’s ways are loving and faithful for all of us who keep his commands.

(Deuteronomy 5:33) You must live the way the Lord your God commanded you. Then you will continue to live, and everything will be fine with you. You will live a long life in the land that will belong to you.

Spirit of Truth

Never compromise, but stay faithful to what God has revealed in His Word and have the wisdom to safeguard the truth.

(John 16:13) But when the Spirit of truth comes, he will lead you into all truth. He will not speak his own words. He will speak only what he hears and will tell you what will happen in the future.

Ask God to help you develop the strength of character to reject those who want to lead you down the wrong path.

(Proverbs 1:10) My son, those who love to do wrong will try to trick you. Don’t listen to them.

Peace, Unity, and Truth

Whenever you open your mouth speak words that are pleasing to the Lord. Avoid slander, gossip and all negative talk. Instead – speak in peace, unity, love, and truth.

(Psalm 19:14) May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, Lord, my Rock, and my Redeemer.

Borrow From None

(Deuteronomy 28:12) The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none.
