Make the First Move

I’m trying something a little different today. Instead of offering a summary, words of encouragement, or a brief explanation of the following verse, I’m simply going to remind you of who God is and what He is capable of doing in your life.

So let’s take a look at Jeremiah 32:17 (Contemporary English Version): Lord God, you stretched out your mighty arm and made the sky and the earth. You can do anything.

Here’s the same verse in the Easy to Read Version: Lord God, with your great power, you made the earth and the sky. There is nothing too hard for you to do.

And just in case you’re a little more traditional than I am, here’s the King James Version: Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.

As you can see, our God created the earth and every living thing on it. His power is limitless, and there’s nothing that He can’t do.

So if there’s something you’re struggling with, a problem that’s “above your pay grade” to fix, you need to hand it over to God and let Him work faithfully.

Your life is not a spectator sport, so you’ll have a part to play in your recovery and renewal because faith without works is dead, but trust me, God is just waiting on you to make the first move.

Remember, a little faith goes a long way.

God bless,
