Following Jesus’ Example

Don’t change yourselves to be like the people of this world, but let God change you inside, with a new way of thinking. Then you will be able to understand and accept what God wants for you. You will be able to know what is good and pleasing to him and what is perfect. Romans 12:2 ERV

When you commit to letting your behavior reflect the mind and heart of Christ, you will grow through life, grow in faith and grow in wisdom.

Yes you will be challenged, and yes there will be setbacks, but through it all, you will find fulfillment and peace within yourself, your relationships, your career, and your life.

This is the path that led me to where I am today. I am not perfect (just ask my Daughter…😉), but I am trying to be more like Christ every day.

I have found that when I live my life this way, I am happier and calmer…and much more productive—able to help and encourage others more effectively.

If you’re looking for a way to grow in your faith and wisdom, I encourage you to commit to living your life in a way that reflects the character of Christ.

Christ was a man of peace, always seeking to bring people together and bring about reconciliation. He was kind to everyone, even those who treated him harshly. He was faithful to God, even when he was rejected by his own people. He was gentle with those around him, even when they didn’t deserve it. And he had self-control, even when it would have been easy to lose his temper.

Personally, I’m not there yet—but I’m faithfully and consistently working on developing my character, every day. And by following Jesus’ example, I will (at minimum) become a better person.

Look, God is more interested in your character than He is in your comfort, so I’ll just keep working on becoming the best person I can be, and I encourage you to do the same.
