Welcome to your daily dose of goodness.
As we commemorate the crucifixion and death of Jesus Christ, I’m reminded of (18th-Century) English Clergyman Charles Simeon who famously said, “Persecution for righteousness’ sake is what every child of God must expect.”
Timeless and Biblically inspired, Charles’ quote led me to the book of Romans, chapter 8, verse 18 — I believe that the present suffering is nothing compared to the coming glory that is going to be revealed to us.
The times we’re living in are hard and sometimes painful — but that’s life — we all experience hardship and pain. The good part is — the ups-and-downs of life are temporary and dare I say, insignificant in the grand scheme of things.
There is greater glory waiting for you when it’s all said and done, but while you’re here, make the most of your time.
Be a living testimony of God’s love and grace.
Ask God to resurrect someone’s finances, ask Him to restore your neighbor’s health, ask Him to breathe new life into your friend’s career, and most of all, thank Him for letting you see another day.
