Do you ever feel like God is punishing you for being honest and forthright?
Maybe you see dishonest colleagues (seemingly) find success no matter what they do or another entrepreneur you know is unethical, yet he/she never seems to face any consequences.
These moments can be disheartening and leave you questioning if it’s worth it to lead a life of integrity.
In Psalm 37:7, David tells Christians what to do in these circumstances. He says: “Be still in the presence of the LORD, and wait patiently for him to act. Don’t worry about evil people who prosper or fret about their wicked schemes.”
Regardless of what others are doing, focus on God and wait for Him to act. He sees your integrity, and He’ll reward you in His timing.
It’s like Charles Swindoll once said, “Few things are more infectious than a godly lifestyle. The people you rub shoulders with everyday need that kind of challenge. Not prudish. Not preachy. Just cracker jack clean living. Just honest to goodness, bone-deep, non-hypocritical integrity.”
