Be sincere in your love for others. Hate everything that is evil and hold tight to everything that is good.
Leave the acting to Denzel and Meryl because God expects sincerity when it comes to your love for others. It isn’t enough to tell yourself that you love everyone — you have to also live in a way that demonstrates your love for all people.
Along with your love for every person, the Bible reminds us to love good and hate evil. This isn’t a license to love or hate someone because of the good or evil they do, but to reject everything that is not pleasing to God.
Hate the evil that people do, not the people who do evil. So, hate racism, not the bigot who lives next door. Hate untruths, not the politician who lied to get elected.
And with all the love you have, see the goodness in the world and hold tight all its virtues. Embrace empathy, integrity, forgiveness, humility, and every bit of humanity you see in this broken world.
