Be Quick to Forgive

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Colossians 3:13

God wants us to forgive one another without holding a grudge or revisiting the matter to punish the other person. And quite honestly, that’s the least we can do seeing as He’s always just one ask away from forgiving you for XYZ offense.

Forgiveness is never about the other person, but about you, and what God has called you to do. When you forgive someone you create space for God’s mercy in your life, and who among us couldn’t use a little more grace?

Remember, God doesn’t call us to forgive at the expense of our own strength, but so that He can give us strength to be gentle and kind to others.
