Happy Wednesday, and welcome to your daily dose of strength. Charles H. Spurgeon once said, “By perseverance, the snail reached the ark.”
Insightful, and Biblically inspired, this quote reminds me of 2nd Peter 1:5-7.
Because you have these blessings, do all you can to add to your life these things: to your faith add goodness; to your goodness add knowledge; to your knowledge add self-control; to your self-control add patience; to your patience add devotion to God; to your devotion add kindness toward your brothers and sisters in Christ, and to this kindness add love.
As you can see, Peter is trying to drive home the point that no matter what’s going on around you — your job is to keep going. And because this is such an important message, you’ve got to focus on the task at hand.
Remember, when you’re obedient and faithful — God will handle the “heavy lifting”, He’ll do “the impossible”.
Ask (and allow) God to mold you into the person He needs you to be. It won’t be easy, and it might even be painful at times — but it will be worth it.
