Speak Your Heart

Welcome to your daily dose of strength, courtesy of Pslam 19:14: May my words and thoughts please you. Lord, you are my Rock—the one who rescues me.

Your thoughts and words mirror your heart, so your goal should be to develop a heart that is pleasing to God.

Your words should comfort, inspire, educate, and uplift those who hear them. Never should your words be deceptive, incite violence, or damage someone’s self-worth — instead, use words that encourage and heal.

Remember, it’s your heart, not the situation or “the other person” that affects what you say.

It’s like Frank Outlaw famously said, “Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words; they become actions. Watch your actions; they become habits. Watch your habits; they become character. Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.”
