The End is Near

Happy Wednesday, and welcome to your daily dose of love, courtesy of 1st Peter 4:7 (CEB). In today’s reading, you will learn exactly how to handle times of crisis, global pandemics, and stressful situations.

So let’s dive in.

The end of everything has come. Therefore, be self-controlled and clearheaded so you can pray.

So, I’ll start by stating the obvious — I have no idea when the “end of everything” is coming — but I’m pretty sure it’s not today…or tomorrow.

Based on what I’ve read in the 66th book of the Bible, there’s a lot more chaos and destruction that’s coming before we get to the “end times”.

But I digress.

In 1st Peter 4:7, I think it’s clear that during ANY time of despair and confusion — prayer is the answer. Clear your mind, strip away pretense and agendas, and simply have an honest conversation with your Father.

P.S. If you’re not already following basic hygienic standards, please wash your hands to help reduce the spread of COVID-19.
