Prepare for tomorrow, today

You don’t know what will happen tomorrow. Your life is like a fog. You can see it for a short time, but then it goes away. So you should say, “If the Lord wants, we will live and do this or that.” James 4:14-15 ERV

St. Augustine of Hippo once said: God has promised forgiveness to your repentance, but He has not promised tomorrow to your procrastination.

Sometimes, it feels good to “talk up” your big ideas and get input from those you trust! But if you have a habit of talking without actually doing—then it’s time to break your cycle of procrastination and (finally) take action.

Forget about setting a New Year’s resolution—make it happen today! Besides, what are you waiting for—is there something magical about January 1st?

Listen, change begins when you decide to act and then act—not when the ball drops in Times Square. So if you’re the type to make New Year’s resolutions, I challenge you to skip the ritual and manifest new beginnings right here, right now.

Remember, imperfect action is always better than wishful thinking and worthless chatter.

If you’re ready to start today, ask God to renew your mind and help you be as productive as possible. Ask Him to take charge of your day and help you to be a doer. Meet God’s plans for your life with faith and effort, and let Him lead you to where you need to be and when you need to be there.
