My dear friends, you should be quick to listen and slow to speak or to get angry.
The Bible reminds us to (always) remain calm and listen for the voice of our heavenly Father.
His instruction can restore your health, repair fractured relationships, and deliver you from the most desperate situations. But you need to hear His instructions to act on them and reap the rewards of your faith.
It’s like Bejamin J. Elger once said, “The voices of the world are loud and sparse, but the voice of God is a constant whisper.”
Sometimes God uses other people to confirm the instructions that he’s already placed on your heart. Other times, you’ll find out what you should do by reading His word. No matter the situation, God wants you to trust him by showing your willingness to rely on Him for direction.
The fact is, no one knows you and your needs like God does. It’s an incredible gift to have direct access to his all-knowing view of your life and journey.
It would be a shame if you squandered the most valuable resource you’ve ever known — so don’t. Instead, invite God in, and submit to his word.
