A Work in Progress

I am sure that the good work God began in you will continue until he completes it on the day when Jesus Christ comes again.

Philippians 1:6 (ERV)

Doesn’t it feel good to know God will never quit on you?

As the saying goes; Before you were a twinkle in your Fathers eye, God knew you and had a plan for your life. He designed and cleared a path for your journey. He gave you life, gifts, talents, and purpose. And there’s nothing you can do to change any of that.

You may take a detour (or two), but your decisions will never change how God feels about you, nor will it change what He wants for you.

Rick Warren likes to say that “God is more interested in your character than your comfort…more interested in making your life holy than He is in making your life happy.”

And that’s because God knows that you’re (not merely) a work in progress — but His work in progress, and like any creator, He wants His creation to reach full potential.

So even if you grow weary and feel like giving up, you can rest assured that God will never stop working on your behalf and His glory.
