We’re all human, we’re all flawed, and none of us (not even your precious Grandma) are perfect.
But God is.
He is also omnipresent and all-knowing, and His wisdom is unfathomable. Even the brightest scholars and theologians have no chance of fully understanding God’s ways.
Some of us confuse education and “years of experience” with wisdom. Often thinking that we can solve our problems and be a savior to others.
But we can’t. We’re just not equipped to know and do what (only) God can do.
It’s like Henri Nouwen once said, “I often wonder if my knowledge about God has not become my greatest stumbling block to my knowledge of God.”
Today’s note was inspired by Henri Nouwen and Isaiah 55:8 (GNT), which reads: “My thoughts,” says the Lord, “are not like yours, and my ways are different from yours.”
